V.I.P. PROGRAMS |
|
| |
| The VIP has always been an extremely active group and we strive to continue that tradition. We provide financial assistance for special programs and activites; which help promote school goals and objectives. The following is a brief description of our activities and programs. |
|
 |
|
BOOK FAIR - CHAIRMAN: DAWN WILSON
This program allows students to purchase books for their personal collection. There are normally 2 fairs held each year. The first in November earns books for the school media center as well as funds for VIP activities. The fair in April benefits the students by allowing them to purchase books at half price. |

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION, CAMPBELL'S LABELS & TYSON PROJECT A+, and Capri Sun - CO-CHAIRMAN: PAULA CALVERT & JEANNE WOLFE
This committee is responsible for the collection, trimming, counting, and turning in of the labels by the deadlines. Incentives can be determined by the committee as well. This is an easy fundraiser and excellent income source. This costs us nothing and can benefit us enormously! It is time consuming, but promoting this is worth the time and energy.
Box Tops for Education are available on General Mills and Betty Crocker products and are worth ten (10) cents each. Box tops are collected and turned in to the company twice a year. We receive checks in the mail to use how the VIP sees fit.
Labels for Education are found on Campbells and Market Day products. We earn points to purchase school supplies through a catalog.
Tyson Foods, Inc. Project A+ labels are worth twenty-four (24) cents each. We can use the money to buy books or computers, make improvements to the school building, or anything we want.
Capri Sun gives us two (2) cents for each of Capri Sun and Kool Aid pouches, and one (1) cent for any other brand’s pouches. |

8th GRADE PARTY / TRIP -CO-CHAIRMAN: PAULA CALVERT/BARB SETTLE
This activity is the end of the year bash for our 8th grade students. It is a lot of fun and a memorable time for them to say “good-bye” to middle school life and “hello” to high school. This can be anything from a dance in the middle school gym to an educational trip that would require several parent chaperones. If choosing to do a trip, this committee would be responsible for one or more fundraisers to help cover the additional cost. |
