Elm Grove Elementary School will be providing summer instruction to our students through the Summer Reading Academy.

Funding has been provided by:

	Ohio County Schools
	Elm Grove Elementary School
	Elm Grove Elementary Faculty Senate
	Elm Grove Elementary Parent Teacher Organization
	Wheeling National Bank

The Reading Academy is an eight week instructional program designed to heighten reading skills.  Activities will be devised to mirror and emphasize the skills that are taught throughout the year to develop comprehension, vocabulary, phonics, listening, writing, language expression and mechanics, and critical thinking.  The Title I Summer program will operate in conjunction with the Reading Academy.  Ohio County Schools will provide transportation to and from Elm Grove Elementary.  Following the Reading Academy, studends have the option of participating in the Chamber's YMCA Summer Program at a cost of $10/day.  YMCA participants will be picked up by their parents at 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber's YMCA.
