The Local School Improvement Council is a group of administrators, parents, teachers, service personnel, and community individuals who meet several times a year to work together to make improvements in the educational process.
Their primary purpose is to:
- Provide suggestions for the involvement of parents in their child's education
- Make recommendations on implementing new programs
- Promote school volunteers and mentorship programs
- Encourage the use of school facilities for community activities
- Encourage advice and suggestions from the business community
