The J.B. Chambers Performing Arts Center project is currently underway at Wheeling Park High School.

Thanks to a $5 million grant from the West Virginia School Building Authority, a $1 million donation from the J.B. Chambers Memorial Foundation and other gifts from community organizations, businesses and individuals; the 1,200-seat facility will be completed during the 2010-2011 school year.

The premier, state-of-the-art J.B. Chambers Performing Arts Center will be open to all Ohio County Schools students for assemblies, concerts and theater productions. The space has been professionally designed, using the best architects and engineers to provide a one-of-a-kind venue. The center also will be available to other schools, colleges, universities and performing arts groups.

Ohio County Schools has long been recognized for the success of its band, choir, theater, speech and art students at state, regional and national levels. With the addition of the performing arts center, even more students will have the opportunity to express themselves through the fine and performing arts.
